Dear friends of the Biennale

As Greece has now begun to face increasing outbreaks of COVID-19 with the authorities beginning to gradually take preventive measures (including the measure of banning conferences initially for a month) and pointing out that for the next two months we should pay particular attention, while, the educational institutions of the country will be closed for the next 15 days, it becomes clear that, despite our good will, an international meeting, like the Biennale is, cannot be prepared under these circumstances. Even more, if by observing the delayed spread of the virus in different countries around the world, it seems impossible to guarantee the health of those who will attending the meeting/event, but equally impossible to predict the evolution of things, considering that the disease caused by coronavirus can be for a long time asymptomatic.

Bearing in mind the need to protect the health of those coming in and working in our academic space, with a high sense of responsibility, we are forced to postpone the realization of the 2nd International Biennale until safe conditions for people to move are created and a announcement of the new period of its realization is released.

Please note that given the global nature of the situation (force majeure), airlines have now begun accepting modification of tickets at no cost. It goes without saying that the fees will be returned to those who have completed their registration & that instructions will be sent to them.

However, the Biennale and our community remain open, alive and strong !

Meanwhile, we recommend you to participate in the organization of our on-line pre-Biennale at 9 & 10 of May 2020.

We will sent you more information about in our next e- mail.

We are sincerely sorry for this inconvenience beyond our will & we are thanking you for your excellent collaboration and confidence.

Faithfully,

Prof. Elena Theodoropoulou,

Directress of the L.R.P.Ph.
